Training contract opportunity
Our next vacancy for a training contract is this Summer. The deadline for applications is 6th April 2022.
You can apply to complete our training contract if you are currently studying towards, or have completed, the Legal Practice Course (LPC). You must have completed (and passed) the LPC by the Summer to be eligible for this year’s training contract.
Our training contract will provide you with excellent training and experience. Trainees will have the opportunity to work on a range of private law family matters including divorce, financial remedies, private law children (including relocation) and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements. As a trainee you’ll be working with our experienced and exceptional lawyers. Lux Family Law practices at the highest level to include complex and multijurisdictional high net worth finance work. We like our trainees to progress quickly and to take part in networking and client development activities.
Trainees will be client facing from the outset and will be drafting inter partes correspondence, briefs to counsel, divorce petitions, Forms E and consent orders from early on in their training. This training contract includes both work in contentious and non-contentious areas. With regards to litigation, trainees will be directly involved in cases from day one, including attending client meetings, conferences with counsel and court hearings.
Our minimum requirements
- A 2.1 law degree at a Russell Group University;
- Strong academics;
- Completed or in the process of completing their Legal Practice Course (finishing this Summer); and
- Astute commercial awareness.
We encourage trainees to have previous experience before joining the practice, but this is by no means an absolute requirement.
